Hugh Jackman and Taylor Swift will reportedly be subpoenaed this week as the legal battle between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni continues.

Lively seemingly began the legal dispute against Baldoni when she accused him of sexual harassment on the set of the film It Ends With Us.

Baldoni hit back, saying the allegations were false and she only filed the lawsuit after she attempted to take creative control of the movie away from him.

On Tuesday, the Daily Mail reported that Swift, who is best friends with Lively, and Jackman, who is close with Lively’s husband Ryan Reynolds, would be called to give evidence in court.

A source told the publication the pair would “most definitely be served this week...it could happen at any time.”

While it’s unclear just how much Jackman and Swift are involved in the legal battle, the Cruel Summer singer has not been seen with Lively since the drama around the lawsuit started.

The friends appeared to be inseparable last year at the Super Bowl, hiring out an entire suite for all their close mates to enjoy the famous football showdown — but this year, Lively was a no-show.

Many fans have wondered about Swift’s role in the film, and it is understood that Lively requested her song My Tears Ricochet to be used in the film’s trailer and soundtrack.

There are also rumours she helped with script changes and the casting process.

In August last year, Lively discussed Swift’s involvement in the film during an interview on CBS Mornings.

“I think that, for better or worse, she experienced the whole thing with me,” she said at the time.

“This was actually — it’s quite a small budget movie. … So we never thought, like, our eyeballs were not that big to think that we could put one of her songs in the movie and it had to be.”

It seems one thing Baldoni and Lively can agree on is the fact that Swift helped cast Isabela Ferrer to play a younger version of Lively’s character, Lily Bloom.

“I had actually brought in and showed her casting tape to Blake and Taylor, and they were both, like, ‘Yes! Her,’” Baldoni said in a clip from Access Hollywood.

“And that’s a true story.”

Ferrer even spilled the beans to Extra at the film’s premiere.

“I don’t even know if I’m supposed to be saying it, but I’m saying it!” she said.

“Yeah, she was a helpful part of the process of the audition, which I found out later after I got it, and that rocked my world. I have no words.”

Lively and Baldoni are set to go to trial next year.
