Kiama Two years ago, this Perth artist moved to Brussels and was inspired by the bustling city’s art scene to pursue her passion for painting full-time. Her contemporary still life creations now sell all over the world and she has a waitlist for commissioned pieces. Her goal? To make art fun and accessible. Ocean With David Attenborough Celebrate the 99th birthday of beloved broadcaster with a screening of his new film and “greatest message of hope”, Ocean With David Attenborough. The documentary takes viewers through the age of great discovery that has coincided with Attenborough’s lifetime, including sequences through coral reefs, kelp forests and the open ocean. It addresses the challenges, but Attenborough’s message is that the ocean “can recover to a glory beyond anything anyone alive has ever seen”. Slow Food and Wine Festival This new event in the Swan Valley aims to bring Noongar culture and traditions together with the influence of Croatian and Italian settlers to the area. Limited to 140 people per session, the festival starts with a six-course dinner on May 2 at Albion on Swan, celebrating the valley’s traditions with winemakers, food producers, cultural storytellers and chefs.
