Aussie comedian Judith Lucy coming to Bunbury in Feb
Australian comedian Judith Lucy is single (again) and is coming to Bunbury to ask audiences whether she should give up men for good.
In her latest show Judith Lucy Vs Men, Lucy will recount her full history with the opposite sex and leave it up to the audience to determine whether she should ever date again.
At the age of 50, Lucy learnt the lesson that sad, angry drinking was not the way to deal with grief.
It all stemmed from this one drunken night. I was in a relationship for nearly five years and it ended remarkably badly, but I’m afraid you will have to buy a ticket ... to hear that story.
“Generally speaking, I handled myself quite nicely but of course this one night in particular life lessons escaped me and I got completely hammered, woke up the next morning feeling absolutely obscene and was riddled with self-loathing.
“It was at that point I made a decision to review my entire history with men, which, frankly isn’t the best pick-me-up when you’re feeling vulnerable, and came to the conclusion that maybe it was time I shut up shop for good.”
Having performed the sell-out tour in cities across Australia asking this question, Lucy is searching for a second opinion.
Every single night the audience has voted that I should keep dating. It will be interesting to see if Bunbury bucks that trend.
