Bunbury Christmas in the City celebration to transform CBD with festive cheer
The countdown is on until the man in red visits the South West — and Bunbury is gearing up for festivities to spread Christmas cheer across the CBD.
Returning for another year, the Christmas in the City annual event is ready to spread the spirit when a packed-out schedule of activities takes over Bunbury this week.
The afternoon is set to be a day of festive fun with activities kicking off at Bicentennial Square from 3pm.
Try your hand at decorating a cupcake or making a delicious mocktail or get creative at the sustainable craft zone.
Food and market stalls will be available throughout the day for a fun afternoon with family and friends while a Christmas showcase featuring performances from some of Bunbury’s best carol singers, dancers, acrobatic performers will carry on the fun at the Graham Bricknell Memorial Music Shell into the evening.
Don’t miss the chance to say hello to Santa before he makes his way into the colourful Christmas street parade to wave to eager onlookers from 6.30pm.
Unfortunately low registrations means the city’s first ever twilight Christmas boat parade will not be going ahead this year, but expressions of interest have been taken to light up the night sky on the Leschenault Inlet in 2022.
The free festive event will transform Bunbury into a hub of festive fun on Sunday.
