Bunbury community behind our health workers
The South West community has rallied behind healthcare workers at St John of God Bunbury to contribute more than $2500 towards their Fuelling the Frontline campaign.
The hospital’s Blue Wren Cafe started the campaign in April by offering free coffee to the campus’ healthcare workers, which encouraged generous community members to hop on board and donate to pay for coffees.
St John of God Bunbury corporate services manager Jack Harding said the community support had been fantastic and was appreciated.
It’s really important for us to look after our staff during this time.
“It’s been a really busy period and we wanted to be able to reach out to our staff at St Johns as well as over at Bunbury Hospital as well.
“It’s also really important when we are this busy to make sure our staff are able to come away from the frontline and take a couple minutes, grab a coffee and refresh and be able to keep providing the fantastic care that they do for the community.”
