Julia Teakle top scores with three goals in WAFLW debut as East Fremantle beat Swan Districts

Mid West product Julia Teakle has got her WAFLW career off to a flying start. She top scored for East Fremantle on Saturday in her first game for the Sharks, kicking three goals as they edged past 2021 grand finalists Swan Districts 6.3 (39) to 4.8 (32) at New Choice Homes Park. Julia’s younger sister Tiani, 15, played her second game for the Sharks on Saturday, turning out in round two of the development-focused Rogers Cup. The family has moved from the Mid West to Perth, with Julia studying physiotherapy at the University of Notre Dame. Brother Bohan Teakle is at Swan Districts in the WAFL while cousin Brynn Teakle is playing for East Fremantle.
