The Greater Bunbury region is set to be left relatively untouched by electoral boundaries changes at the next State election.

Draft boundaries for the March 2025 vote were released on Friday, with almost all voters in the region to stay in their current electorates.

Voters in Roelands are likely to see the largest disruptions, with all of the Shire of Harvey except areas of Australind south of Paris Road and Grand Entrance to now be included in the Murray-Wellington electorate, currently held by Robyn Clarke.

Southern parts of Australind and all of the Eaton area will remain within the Collie-Preston electorate, currently held by Jodie Hanns.

Further south, the small coastal community of Peppermint Grove Beach is set to change hands from Collie-Preston to Liberal leader Libby Mettam’s seat of Vasse.

The seat of Bunbury, currently held by Cook Government minister Don Punch, will have no changes under the proposed boundaries.

The proposals are open for comment until August 21. For more information, visit boundaries.wa.gov.au.
