Revived Harvey Cup to be run at Pinjarra Harness Racing Club

The history of harness racing in Harvey will be honoured at Pinjarra Harness Racing Club on Easter Monday with the running of the revived Harvey Cup.
Harvey hosted its first harness racing meeting in 1927 but races at the Harvey District Trotting Club ceased in May 2014 due to financial difficulties.
Pinjarra Harness Racing Club general manager Dale Putland said the club was delighted to play a role in putting “an important and time-honoured race” back on the harness racing calendar.
“The club is thrilled to be able to bring the race back to life to recognise the Harvey Cup’s history,” he said.
As part of the meeting, the club will be holding a family fun day, which will include entertainment for kids and live music.
