Push on for more scans

Bunbury Herald

International Women’s Day was celebrated with a call to overcome breast cancer.

The South West Aboriginal Medical Services hosted an event last Thursday at the Koombana Bay Sailing Club focussing on encouraging indigenous women to be aware of breast cancer.

Local woman Lynette Narkle is recovering from breast cancer and encouraged women to make sure they got breast scans.

‘‘It is very important,’’ she said.

‘‘Cancer can strike anyone. People should always be aware and check.’’
