Talented two happy to help Telethon cause

Bunbury Herald

Two Bunbury businesses donating their time and talents at Bunbury Forum on Sunday say there is no better cause than helping sick children.

Wet-on-wet artist Jon Spencer and Boogie Roos will be entertaining crowds for a few hours on Sunday to encourage donations for Telethon.

Mr Spencer can paint complete landscapes in just 30 minutes. His unique technique was on show on the Bunbury Forum’s Telethon stage last year where he raised $500 via the auction.

Mr Spencer will be on stage for two hours, where audiences will be able to see him create his lightning-speed masterpieces live.

Another fun activity throughout the day will be the Boogie Roos children’s entertainment.

The Roos love to boogie in a high-energy, dance and music program where the children learn to improve their hand-eye coordination.

Boogie Roos started in Bunbury two years ago and offers various classes to entertain and engage children.

Boogie Roos instructor Kelly Dawson said Sunday’s fun program was a series of 20-minute sessions over three hours, all for a gold coin donation each entry.

Mrs Dawson said Boogie Roos had also raised $500 for Telethon through a charity drive in September.

Mrs Dawson and Mr Spencer invite people to head down and see what all the fuss was about and help them raise money for the worthy children’s charity.

The Telethon family fun day will also include Channel 7 stars, face painting, balloon artists, bouncy castles, a magician, sausage sizzle, Doopa Dog and a kid’s fun station.
