Urgent call made by Kambalda for players for 2025 GFL season

Kambalda officials have put out an urgent call for players to fill the club’s women’s and reserves teams this year in the Goldfields Football League.
As outlined in an official online post on Thursday, time was running out for players to express their interest — ahead of the Eagles’ season-opener on April 12.
“If we do not gain more players in the next two weeks, we will have no option but to withdraw our reserves side and possibly our women’s side from the competition for 2025,” it read.
“Doing this would be detrimental to the club and our community, as a whole, so we are reaching out for your help.
“Kambalda is a strong, proud, family and community-oriented club, and we want to be a competitive, inclusive club within in the GFL.”
Training is at West Kambalda Oval each Tuesday and Thursday night, starting at 6.30pm.
The GFL’s season starts on April 5 but Kambalda have an opening round bye, before taking on Boulder at home a week later.
