Dylan Sharpe: Oakford burnout accused faces court for first time over burnout tribute to mate Jady Turner

A 22-year-old man accused off a reckless tribute to his mate who was killed in a horror crash faced court on Friday.

Police allege Dylan Sharpe had an 11-month-old baby in the car when he performed a burnout at the crash site where Jady Turner died less than three weeks ago.

Police previously said Mr Turner was driving at speed on Thomas Road early on Saturday, November 9 when his Holden Commodore Ute clipped an oversized heavy vehicle convoy and crashed into its rear pilot vehicle.

The driver of another car also alleged to have been travelling at speed has been charged with dangerous driving causing death in circumstances of aggravation and dangerous driving causing grievous bodily harm in circumstances of aggravation.

Quizzed by reporters outside Rockingham court on Friday, Mr Sharpe said his alleged act was an appropriate tribute to his friend and answered “nah” when asked if he regretted it.

Mr Sharpe will face court again next month.
