Advocacy helping hand
A funding injection from Lotterywest will help local disability services provider Advocacy South West as it continues to grow.
The organisation has received $37,000 to improve its office administration and communication systems as it provides services to more than 100 local residents andtheir families.
Bunbury MLA John Castrilli presented the grant last week and said the organisation had identified a need to improve its IT system.
‘‘Advocacy is doing a wonderful job in assisting people from Bunbury and the South West to make the most out of opportunities in their lives,’’ Mr Castrilli said.
‘‘There is currently a waiting list for advocacy services and the funding will help the organisation continue to tailor its services directly to clients.’’
The money will be used by Advocacy South West to update its business plan and pay consultancy fees for information technology and software, including a new office management system designed for the organisation’s specific requirements.
