Anyone for tea?

Bunbury Herald

Women who live here in the South West will directly benefit from the Breast Cancer Afternoon Tea which is being held on Sunday, November 21 at 2pm.

Funds raised are administered through Bunbury’s specialist breast care nurse Donna Cook, to patients who need support.

“Families who are touched by breast cancer require help in many different ways,” Ms Cook said.

“We assist with accommodation costs when they travel to Perth for treatment.

“We also like to send our patients away with their families – even a weekend’s retreat brings some respite from the grind of the disease.”

Hosted by Bunbury Cathedral Grammar School Parents and Friends, the Breast Cancer Afternoon Tea is an event for the whole family.

Along with an impressive line-up of local art on auction, there will be sumptuous hampers on raffle, plenty of pop the balloons, a tea-cup wheel, bouncy castle and spot prizes. To top it off are delicious cup cakes with your cuppa - included in your ticket price of $7.50.

This year’s Breast Cancer Afternoon Tea will take place in a beautiful garden at 44 Hampstead Street, Gelorup (off Sheoak Street). Tickets are on sale at the gate and all are welcome.
