Attacked for $20
Two women who were visiting Bunbury were bashed and robbed for just $20 at the weekend.
A police spokesman said a 20-year-old woman and a 22-year-old woman were walking from their accommodation at the Bunbury Backpackers along Koombana Drive about 10pm on Friday.
The pair were followed by two men and then attacked from behind when they were away from the streetlights.
One of the women managed to get away from her attacker but suffered a swollen lip and a broken handbag.
The otherwoman was hit several times to her right eye before she gave the offender all of the money she had in her purse, totalling $20.50.
The offenders got away and ran toward the CBD.
The woman was later treated in hospital and received five stitches to the cut on her right eye.
The spokesman said the two men have yet to be caught.
They are described as having dark skin and were between 17 and 25 years old.
