Fire twirlers, swing singers and comedy by Peter Rowsthorn entertained more than 200 theatre goers at the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre on Friday night for the grand opening celebrations of its expansion.

Audience members were left cackling when Rowsthorn handed Premier Colin Barnett an iPad to watch the football because he had seen the sketch before, while Bunbury-born Sunrise news presenter Natalie Barr reminisced on her days performing school recitals before the BREC existed.
