Call to witnesses

Bunbury Herald

Police are calling for anyone who witnessed a collision between a truck and a moped on the Australind Bypass last week to come forward.

A young man was riding the moped between traffic lights on the bypass between 6.45pm and 7pm on August 1 when the incident occurred.

He sustained a broken ankle and is now recovering.

Officer-in-charge of South West Traffic Sgt Gerard Murphy said police were yet to determine the cause of the crash and needed help from witnesses.

‘‘We are after any witnesses who haven’t spoken to police that may have actually seen the crash or the bike on that section of the road,’’ Sgt Murphy said.

Anyone with information about the collision can call Sgt Murphy on 9722 2120.
