More than 2500 people attended Carols by Candlelight at the Graham Bricknell Music Shell on Sunday night.

With many local acts performing some of the great Christmas carols, the big audience was a sight to be behold, singing by the light of candles.

The massive crowd spread from the music shell area to the inlet foreshore.

Among the concert’s highlights was a performance by the South Bunbury Primary School choir, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year.

Carols by Candlelight acting chairwoman Leanne Risdon said it was a huge success.

“It was a fantastic evening with a host of outstanding local entertainment,” she said.

“There was a great atmosphere and feeling around the shell.”

Thousands of people gathered around the Graham Bricknell Music Shell for a Carols by Candlelight service.
