Carey Park residents encouraged to get to know City of Bunbury leaders in latest round of community catch-ups
Residents of Carey Park will have the opportunity to get to know their local leaders, with the City of Bunbury’s latest “community catch-up” coming to Honey Park.
Pasta in the Park will take place on November 2 from 4:30-6pm, giving the Carey Park community a chance to meet City of Bunbury Mayor Jaysen Miguel and fellow councillors “face-to-face in an informal setting”.
Mr Miguel said the evening — the third event of its kind — would be a “great chance” for residents to get to know leaders and neighobours, as well as raise any issues they might have with City representatives.
“We have been elected by our community to represent them, so it’s crucial we have constant open communication with residents and provide opportunities to not only raise any issues, but celebrate successes,” he said.
“It’s not all about raising concerns or issues, these informal community events provide an opportunity to not only meet the council, but neighbours and local businesses in the area.
“I encourage the local Carey Park residents to get along next week, and I look forward to hosting more across Bunbury in the near future.”
A family-friendly event, the community is invited to bring their picnic rugs to set up for the night, with the first 30 Carey Park residents to receive a free pasta cone courtesy of Bunbury Italian restaurant, Antonio’s Pasta.
