City offers cat spay discounts

The Bunbury City Council will offer discount vouchers to pensioners and Health Care Card holders so they can sterilise their cats.

Legislation came into effect last year which requires all cats in WA to be sterilised, registered and microchipped.

Community safety and emergency management manager John Kowal said the council would offer a $50 voucher to offset the cost of sterilising cats.

These can be used at three local veterinarians, Harradine & Associates Veterinary Hospital, Blair Street Veterinary Hospital and Bunbury Veterinary Clinic.
