Colts romp to sizzling triple

Colts created a cricketing dynasty at the weekened by claiming its third consecutive BDCA First Grade title.

Despite defeating Colts in a semi-final a fortnight ago, Dalyellup Beach were humbled by 199 runs in the two-day final.

Captain Mat Foreman led Colts to victory at Dalyellup College.

On Saturday, he stroked a wonderful 135, took a wicket and a sharp catch before adding another 80 runs on Sunday to ensure his side was in the box seat.

Murray Goodwin chimed in with 98 not out on Sunday to ensure the silverware returned to Colts cabinet for a third straight season.

Tearaway Clayton Caltsounis and spinner Cruize Ciallella were among the wickets on both days for the champions.

Settlers Mat Fink and Justin Woods both scored half centuries on the opening day.

The honours between the two clubs had been split during the home-and-away season.
