The organisers of the Bunbury Markets were appreciative of strong community support at the first event at Queen's Gardens on Saturday.

Bunbury Markets coordinator Rebecca Watson said she believed the event was a success because members of the community made an effort to attend.

"We were blessed with the weather because the rain held off until the last half an hour but the vibe was great throughout the day and the feedback was positive," she said.

"The stallholders were very happy and they have committed to the next event. I see the event growing as we hold it on the first and third Saturday of each month."

Ms Watson said she was looking to have more stallholders with fresh produce at the next market on December 19 from 8am to 1pm.
