Eaton hoon’s 100kmh dash

An Eaton teenager will lose her licence after she was caught travelling 40kmh above the speed limit on Sunday afternoon.

South West Traffic acting officer-in-charge Sgt Shane Clark said the 17-year-old P-plate driver was caught travelling at 100kmh along Eaton Drive at 5.30pm.

She had had her licence for seven weeks.

The girl was fined $700, issued five demerit points and will lose her licence.

Sgt Clark reminded drivers to be careful on the roads.

‘‘Especially in wet conditions people need to drive safely,’’ he said.
