Floral exhibition blooming lovely

Bunbury Regional Art Galleries became a floral wonderland yesterday with the opening of the annual Blooming Art exhibition.

Visitors will be treated to sweet-smelling contemporary floral designs with a central exhibit created by the Floral Designers Club of Bunbury.

On display also are floor designs, Grow and Show arrangements, Beauty from the Balcony, botanical jewellery and a series of chairs made from plant material.

Claire Pendrigh from BRAG said she was excited to have the living art at the gallery.

“You have to get in quick to see it though, flowers don’t live for ever,” she said.

The display of living art will be showcased in the Chapel Gallery until Sunday.

Bunbury Regional Art Galleries are open until 7pm today and 10am-4pm every other day. Entry is free.
