Busselton swept to the top of the SWFL ladder with a commanding 47-point victory over Eaton on Saturday night at Sir Stewart Bovell Park.

The 11.15 (81) to 4.10 (34) result moved Darian Cheffers' charges a game clear at the top of the table and added to an already healthy percentage.

The Pies set up the triumph with a five-goal third-quarter blitz which delivered them a commanding 36-point lead at the final change.

Also on Saturday night, Harvey-Brunswick-Leschenault jumped back into the battle for fifth place on the ladder with an exciting last-gasp victory over a depleted Augusta-Margaret River at Brunswick Oval.

The reigning premiers went into the game without six of their best 22 but showed plenty of spirit in the 12.8 (80) to 10.11 (71) loss.

Bunbury withstood a dramatic second-half surge from Carey Park on Sunday to claim a 15-point victory and get their season back on track at Kelly Park.

The epic 20.6 (126) to 17.9 (111) triumph came after the Bulldogs had stunned the home side with a nine-goals-to-nil first quarter and extended their lead to a game-high 58 points by half-time.

Despite Bunbury's dominance, incredibly, it was the Panthers who appeared to have the game won in the final quarter when they hit the front after a monumental comeback.

But they couldn’t finish the job.

In other games, the Harvey Bulls saw off South Bunbury at Hands Oval with a 11.14 (80) to 8.4 (52) triumph and the Collie Eagles trounced Donnybrook 32.25 (217) to 3.5 (23) at the Collie Recreation Ground.
