Force turns to farce in loss

Bunbury Herald

Bunbury Forum Force suffered their first State Premier League defeat under new coach Alan Armstrong on Saturday with a 3-0 thrashing at the hands of bottom placed Armadale at Payne Park.

It was a less-than-impressive performance from the Force who missed a number of easy chances in the first half before conceding three quick goals midway through the second half.

Bunbury sorely missed the finishing ability of in-form striker Aiden Savory who suffered a broken ankle against Western Knights the previous week.

Jon Brooks, Aidan Downs and Martin Ryan were all culprits late in the first half, getting themselves in a scoring position before failing to find the back of the net.

The deadlock was finally broken on the hour mark with Reds’ midfielder Josh Maddison striking one past an outstretched Ryan Montgomery to take a 1-0 advantage.

Armadale doubled their lead in the 65th minute when Ravi Kuppusamy’s long ball found Tom Biss whos truck the top left corner of the net.

Kuppusamy’s 72nd minute strike put the result beyond doubt.
