Employees from Dale Alcock South West donated their time and money to a good cause on Friday when they cooked lunch for the underprivileged at the Bunbury Intown Centre.

The organisation raised money through selling Dale Alcock show bags on Australia Day and decided to spend the money on giving hungry people a quality three-course lunch at the Intown Centre.

Dale Alcock sales and marketing manager Matt St Guillaume said the organisation was proud to do such a good service.

“It is important that we give back to the community because this is one of our key philosophies, ” he said.

“Instead of just giving money we actually wanted to get involved in the community.”

Intown Centre chairman David Bailey said it was great to have the Dale Alcock employees come and help out.

“It is wonderful to get community support and in particular support from the corporate sector in Bunbury, ” he said.

“We have been lucky that they have supported us over the years and that is why we are as successful as we are.

“We have a program running called Adopt A Meal, which helps the corporate sector not only be able to give but learn what it is like to help the less fortunate.

“We could always do with more though.”
