The people behind Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre's Club are hoping to recruit more helpers to perform important duties for the organisation.

BREC Club president Peter Elderfield said the group was on a membership drive for next year.

"We had about 700 members this year, some of whom volunteer in a number of duties around the centre," he said.

"As a club member you don't need to volunteer but many people choose to help out by taking on usher duties or forming part of the bar staff.

"We will have stalls at Bunbury Centrepoint and Bunbury Forum on Thursday for people to chat to us about becoming a member."

Mr Elderfield said the benefits of becoming a club member included discounted tickets for shows and advance notice about shows and concerts.

"We have a number of social functions throughout the year and the Sky Bar is a pleasant place to do this," he said.

Club member Lyn McLean said the social aspect of the group was a drawcard that made some people want to join.

"It's a great way to meet people, especially for people who have only just moved to the area," she said.

"The expansion of Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre is an asset for Bunbury and it's a great place to be."
