GTM sells out at record speed

Bunbury Herald

Tickets to Bunbury’s biggest annual music event – Groovin’ the Moo – have officially sold out for the fourth straight year.

The regional touring festival has proved immensely popular since it came to the South West for the first time in 2010.

The final ticket was snapped up on Thursday, making 2013 the quickest year Groovin’ the Moo Bunbury has sold out.

Following the news, festival promoter Stephen Halpin released a statement thanking music fans for their support.

“It’s a wonderful result for Groovin’ the Moo and we thank all the fans in Bunbury and Western Australia for being so supportive of our show once again – It’s such a great way to end the tour,” he said.

Groovin’ the Moo will this year feature 26 Australian and international acts across two stages. Melbourne- born, London-based indie rockers The Temper Trap headline the festivities.

Other big name national acts on the bill include The Amity Affliction, Flume, Tame Impala, Midnight Juggernauts, Seth Sentry and Regurgitator.

The Kooks (UK), The Bronx (USA), Matt and Kim (USA), Tegan and Sara (Canada) and They Might Be Giants (USA) will also perform at the festival.

Groovin’ the Moo kicks off this weekend in Maitland, NSW, and arrives in Bunbury on May 11.
