The event, organised by the South West Aboriginal Medical Service, was held a few days after the annual NAIDOC Week celebrations.
There were numerous activities for children during the day, including face painting, pony rides and a bouncy castle.
There were also free health checks from the medical service, stalls for Bunbury Headspace and the Noongar Sports Association as well as a dedicated spot for Aboriginal elders.
This year’s NAIDOC Week was dedicated to the remembrance of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander soldiers who served in combat.
South West Aboriginal Medical Service tobacco and healthy lifestyle coordinator Nicole Bowser said this was recognised during Friday’s event.
Ms Bowser said 300 people attended the family fun day and she received positive feedback from people who attended.
“People thought it was a great community event, ” she said.
