Mary Dee and her family, of Waterwitch Street in Carey Park, woke up this morning to find this patio roof on their front yard.

Miss Dee said so far no one had claimed ownership of the roof.

“We think it might be from an empty rental, so no one has noticed it missing yet,” she said.

Nearby a caravan was flipped on its side and trees were snapped at the base and ripped from the ground.

The City of Bunbury has asked people to avoid Twilight Terrace, Waterwitch Way and Armanta Drive in Carey Park while Emergency Crews work to clear the area and repair damage to properties after last night's severe storm.

The city has had reports of motorists sight-seeing in the area which is making it difficult for staff to do their job.

People are asked to only access the area if they are a resident.
