The wait is over for South West country music fans, with the lineup for next year’s Boyup Brook Coun try Music Festival announced on Thursday.

The 28th instalment of one of the Australia’s most popular music festivals is set to excite, with country music icon Kasey Chambers announced as the headline act.

Chambers has had a stellar musical career which includes eight ARIA awards, six APRA awards, a swag of Golden Guitars and more than one million albums sold worldwide.

This year Chambers won the Golden Guitar for Vocal Collaboration of the Year with Beccy Cole for the song Millionaires.

She has also written a book and her new album with husband Shane Nicholson will be released later this year.

Another big name to be signed up for the festival is Victorian Adam Harvey.

Harvey, winner of 2012 Golden Guitar for Album of the Year for Falling into Place, has had a long and fruitful career spanning more than a decade, with three gold albums, eight Golden Guitars and total album sales of more than 300,000.

The five-day music extravaganza is jam packed with entertainment for all ages, including the WA Country Music Awards, Ute and TruckMuster, StreetCarnival, Workshops, Art Exhibition and Awards, as well as WA’s biggest bush poets breakfast.

It will be held on the banks of the Blackwood River from February 13-17.
