Cookie Monster may have learnt that cookies are now a ‘‘sometimes’’ food but that hasn’t stopped one of Sesame Street’s biggest stars chowing down on a few Tim Tams during a recent trip to Bunbury.

Performers at Bunbury’s recent Groovin’ the Moo festival would have been green with envy at the blue monster’s rockstar-like reception at Good Start Early Learning Centre in East Bunbury last week.

Cookie Monster admitted Tim Tams were his favourite Australian food, but had learned they were not for eating all the time.

He said he was starting to learn to eat more fruit and vegetables.

Healthy food, however, wasn’t exactly on the menu when he visited Good Start Early Learning Centre for the biggest morning tea last week.

Cookie Monster’s visit to Bunbury is a precursor to a visit by all the stars of Sesame Street in July with Elmo, Big Bird, Ernie, Bert, Grover and the Count visiting for a one-off show on July 3 at Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre as part of Elmo’s World Tour.
