MABA: Barracudas dominate match against Dribblers to secure minor premiership after undefeated season

Barracudas remained undefeated on Wednesday to secure the Manjimup Amateur Basketball League’s minor premiership. The top dogs dominated the second half of their match against Dribblers, ending 33 points ahead, 70-37. However, it was the bottom-of-the-league Dribblers who managed to secure the lead in the first half, 25-23. Their high was short-lived, as Barracudas launched a hearty offensive attack and scored 12 points before Dribblers found an opportunity to reply. Jett Lyster, Justin Bailye and Braden Wilson led the offensive charge, with 19, 18, and 17 points respectively. Dribblers’ Travis Clark scored 19 for his side. Barracudas will take on Purple Cobras next week for their chance to advance directly to the grand final. Purple Cobras come off their own win to Hawkers, 35-33. Also in men’s A, Wolfpack defeated Hawks 52-38 and Redbacks defeated Raiders 72-65. In men’s B, Billy Goats defeated Warriors 47-27 and Giants defeated Flint Tropics 49-38. In women’s A, Senators defeated Sapphires 34-17, Titans defeated Astrix 37-22, Comets defeated SlamDrunks 33-31, and Saints defeated Panthers by forfeit, 20-0. In women’s B, Magpies Orange defeated Raiders 29-18, and Magpies Blue defeated Tropics by forfeit, 20-0.
