Raid nets cache of goods

Bunbury Herald

A raid on a Carey Park home on Thursday morning netted a haul of up to $40,000 worth of property and drugs.

Laptops, video cameras, jewellery, mobile phones and power tools were seized after police from the Bunbury inquiry team searched the Doolan Street home about 8.30amon Thursday.

Const. Kerry Fishlock said police searched the home and found 146 small cannabis plants, a 60cm cannabis plant and seeds.

She said the cannabis plants were planted in the backyard.

A17-year-old youth and a 22-year-old woman from Carey Park are to be summonsed on cannabis possession charges.

Police believe the property that was seized at the home was stolen and was swapped for drugs.

As part of the seizure, police found a 50cm machete in the backyard.

Anyone with information about the owners of the property is asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
