ERIENNE LETTEBunbury Herald

There are still hundreds of safety hazards across the South West region of which people need to be aware.

Western Power said the hazards included power lines and individual customer lines down as well as trees and branches on lines.

Extra contractors have been brought in to help clean up the debris and teams of wire watchers are also stationed at hazards.

Trees on power lines are being cut away this morning north of the Donnybrook townsite and crews are patrolling lines in the area.

Crews are working in the Bunbury CBD where there are still streets without power.

Western Power is also concentrating on a number of Water Corporation pumping stations across the Bunbury region.

People are being urged to clear or secure any debris from around their properties, in preparation for this evening's storm front.

Unsecured items have the potential to be picked up by strong wind gusts and thrown into power lines.
