Bunbury Herald

The South West Sports Centre is due to get solar heating in two swimming pools saving the complex an estimated $65,000 in energy costs and reduce carbon emissions by 270 tonnes a year.

The matter will go before the Bunbury City Council committee meeting tonight where it will be decided which company will be employed to design, supply, install and maintain the heating system.

The council has put aside $478,000 for the project after receiving $417,000 in funding.
