Seventeen South West businesses named as recipients of State Government funding to support businesses

Seventeen different businesses throughout the South West have been given the opportunity to take their enterprise to the next level, receiving funding in the latest round of the State Government’s Agrifood and Beverage Voucher Program. The South West was the beneficiary of more than $124,000 from the scheme, which gave 57 WA businesses a share in more than $430,000. Across the region, 10 of the 17 businesses hailed from Margaret River, with three in the Greater Bunbury Area, three in Manjimup and one in Busselton. Now the fourth round of funding delivered through the program, Agriculture and Food Minister Jackie Jarvis said the State Government was eager to help businesses reach their full potential. “The Agrifood and Beverage Voucher Program supports businesses with professional advice to improve their skills, knowledge and confidence to evolve their operations and capture growth opportunities,” she said. “The Cook Labor Government is committed to helping the State grow its agrifood and beverage sector to achieve its full potential and stimulate flow-on benefits to the WA economy and communities.” Established in 2018, the program is designed to support agrifood and beverage businesses across the State to access professional expertise to take their enterprise to the next level. Tall Timbers Brewing Co received the most funding with $15,000, while Cowaramup Brewing Co and Southern Roasting Co also recieved significant grants with $14,500 and $10,500 respectively. Other businesses received a range of donations from $1665 to $10,000. The money will be used for a variety of purposes including marketing strategies, business growth and planning and environmental sustainability and social responsibility.
