Shark sighting in Leschenault Estuary
A member of the public has reported the sighting of a shark in the Leschenault Estuary at Australind shortly before midday.
No size or species was given, but the caller to Water Police said the shark was near a sandbar north of the boat ramp and looked to be feeding on fish.
The local shire has been advised and it is understood rangers will be checking the area.
All shark sightings should be reported to Water Police on 9442 8600.
