Snap to it for family opportunity

Families who forgot a Mother's Day present could find some reprieve in a group portrait while also helping a national breast cancer fundraiser.

Bunbury-based Henderson Photographics is donating time during May to National Family Portrait Month, which provides families with a professionally captured portrait at a discount.

All money raised goes to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, with Henderson Photographics receiving none of the $65 portrait fee.

"From a personal perspective, our family has been touched by cancer so it was a very easy decision to support the foundation and give back," photographer Sarah Henderson said.

Henderson Photographics was selected as one of only five photography services in WA - and the only snappers in the South West - to be involved with the national fundraising event.

The Henderson team is taking bookings throughout the month.

"We were honoured to be recognised as one of the photographers at a national level," Mrs Henderson said.

"There is never a better time than now to take a family portrait because you never know when life can change."

Families can take part by registering at www.familyportrait month.com.au, paying the $65 donation and then contacting the photographer to book a shoot.
