Staging an event? There might be a grant for that!

The South West Development Commission is still accepting applications for grants to help cover the cost of staging festivals, exhibitions or concerts next year.

The scheme allows groups in the South West to apply for a share of $100,000 in funding.

Up to $6000 is available per event and SWDC acting chief executive officer Anna Oades encouraged organisations to make sure they were in the running to be considered for funding.

“If you are holding a community event next year which is expected to attract visitors and benefit the community, don’t miss out on this chance to give your event a financial boost,” she said.

Applications for the present round of the South West Events Program closes at 4pm on October 28.
