SW ready for next week's census
Hundreds of households in Bunbury and the South West received forms for the Census of Population and Housing on Friday, as residents prepare for Census next Tuesday night.
Census collectors carry bright yellow bags and identification tags, making them easy to spot when they are delivering forms in the area.
WA Census director Mike Scott said when a collector knocked on the door, people would be offered either a traditional paper Census form or an eCensus envelope to be completed online.
This year, the Australian Bureau of Statistics is expecting at least 30 per cent of households to complete their Census form online.
Mr Scott said about 450 Census collectors would travel to every home in the South West with hundreds more to every corner of the State to ensure every person was accurately counted on Census night.
