SWAS calls for golf day entries

People are being encouraged to swap the office for the golf course on September 5 to support a fundraiser for the South West Academy of Sport.

The not-for-profit organisation, which is now approaching its fifth year of helping up-and-coming South West athletes reach their potential, has opened registrations for its annual corporate golf day.

To be held at the Sanctuary Golf Resort, the event will see teams of four enjoy a light lunch and golfing demonstration before heading on to the green and participating in a friendly 18-hole game of golf.

The day will wrap up with a barbecue dinner and presentations.

SWAS chief executive officer Bernice Butlion said the golf day had grown to become a popular networking event.

“This is a great opportunity to treat yourself or your employees to a day out of the office, enjoy networking opportunities, and help promising young people pursue a career in sport,” she said.

“All proceeds from the day will go towards our talent development programs, which aim to give young sportsmen and women in the region the best possible chance of making it to the top of their sport.”

To register a team for the SWAS corporate golf day, email info@ swaswa.com.au or phone 9792 4504. Registrations close on August 23.
