A seven-goal last half from Hamish Shepheard and 13 unanswered goals led Augusta-Margaret River to 77 point win over Bunbury on Saturday night at Gloucester Park.

Shepheard moved himself to full forward and kicked five goals in the third quarter, instigating a second half whitewash which saw the Hawks finish 19.10 (124) to 6.11 (47) victors.

Eaton Boomers will spend the two-week South West Football League break on top of the table after beating previous ladder leaders Busselton by 23 points on Sunday.

The Boomers midfield was dominant throughout in the 11.11 (77) to 8.6 (54) win and while Busselton was resilient, they never seriously threatened to leave Glen Huon Reserve with the four points.

For almost half of the league clash between Carey Park and the Collie Eagles at Kelly Park on Sunday it looked as if the Panthers were headed for a biggish win, but the Eagles held their own to go down by 28 points.

Matt Martin had booted three goals to the 20 minute mark of the second term, Graham Jetta and Clinton Garlett were busy in the midfield while Michael McMillan again looked set for a big game as the Panthers won 13.15 (93) to 10.5 (65).

Donnybrook overcame an early scare at VC Mitchell Park on Sunday to comprehensively beat Harvey-Brunswick Leschenault by 70-points.

The Dons easily accounted for the young Lions side after a first quarter lapse to post a 18.9 (117) to 7.5 (47) victory in a lopsided affair.

Harvey Bulls held off South Bunbury in a match where the momentum constantly swung to claim an 11-point victory at Hands Oval on Sunday.

Clinging onto a narrow lead, the visitors withstood the Tiger’s last quarter charge to win 11.8 (74) to 9.9 (63).
