Big forward Leigh Kelly booted six goals to lead the Magpies to a convincing 17.8 (110) to 10.6 (66) triumph.

At the other end of the ground Eaton coach Alan McDonald made his first playing appearance for several weeks and kicked two goals.

It was the second time in as many weeks the Boomers had been dismantled by a fellow premiership contender – they were also defeated by Collie last Saturday night in the final round of the home and away season.

Eaton will clash with Bunbury in a sudden death semi-final this Sunday.

The Bulldogs defeated Carey Park 7.9 (61) to 7.7 (49) in their elimination final at Kelly Park to progress through to that clash.

The Boomers made a bright start to yesterday's contest and held a 17-point quarter time lead, but Busselton hit back to hit the front by the long break, 52-45.

Back-to-back majors to start the second half meant Eaton took the lead briefly, but a run of seven unanswered goals from the Magpies which stretched well into the final quarter put the game to bed.

Jon D’Sylva finished with three goals for Busselton while Jace Cormack and Matt Buchanan both booted three for the Boomers.

Meanwhile at Kelly Park Bunbury overcame a 13-point half-time deficit to pip Carey Park and keep their finals campaign alive.

A brilliant third term by Bulldog Jordan Adamson-Holmes lit the spark for his side after the Panthers had led by as much as 20 points early in the game.

While that advantage was pegged back in the second term, it was after the long break that Adamson-Holmes played a starring role.

The burly utility was moved onto the ball and had a monumental impact, crashing through the contests in defense before popping up deep inside 50 to kick the second goal of the term and draw the Dogs even at three-quarter time.
