1. Sundowner

Through the eyes of three generations, Sundowner tells the story of Australian families. If a loved one starts to lose their memories, what role can we play in holding on to them? Starring Helen Morse (Tim Winton’s Signs of Life) and the original Tivoli Lovelies, Sundowner combines theatre, dance and physicality in a story of lament and at times, grief and sorrow. 2. Sunday Cinema

French comedy is the order of the day at Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre’s International Sunday Cinema for May. Le Skylab depicts a family gathering together for their grandmother Amandine’s birthday in France. In the film, Albertine (Karin Viard) travels with her family to Brittany and, while settling into the journey, she remembers a family reunion from her childhood. 3. Craft Day

The Donnybrook Arts and Craft Group will hold a social art and craft day on Saturday at the Donnybrook Memorial Hall on BentleyStreet from 10am to 4pm. Entry costs $5 and includes morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. Call Yvonne on 9732 1235.

4. Astronomy night

5. Speedway action

The Bunbury Car Club Show will be held at the Quit Bunbury Speedway on Saturday, with racing starting at 6pm. Divisions include All Star Juniors, Top Star Juniors, Street Stocks, Productions, AMCAs and Wingless Sprints. 6. Evening of blues

Sit back and enjoy a three-hour blues experience with Australia’s Matt Taylor while he remembers being young. Taylor will be playing at the Eliot Street Bar, proudly hosted by the South West Blues Club, on Friday night. Doors will open from 7.30pm and entry costs $15 for members and $20 for non-members. 7. Ishuni concert

8. Drift

An Australian movie telling the story of true life events, Drift is a film about the underdog proving what he is capable of. Jimmy (Xavier Samuel) and Andy Kelly (Myles Pollard) open a surf shop out of necessity, which leads to the start of the modern surf industry. 9. Seeking revenge

Revenge and blackmail is the backbone of action/thriller Dead Man Down. Victor (Colin Farrell) has infiltrated a New York crimelord’s ring to get revenge for the murder of his wife and daughter. Victor is ordered to investigate someone intent on killing the crimelord and through an ill-fated meeting Victor starts an affair with Beatrice (Noomi Rapace), a woman who has her own revenge plot. 10. Romantic laugh

Long-time divorced couple Don (Robert De Niro) and Ellie Griffin (Diane Keaton) have to pretend they are still married at their adopted son’s wedding in The Big Wedding. This is because their son’s biological mother wants to be involved in the wedding and she’s a Catholic. The Big Wedding also stars Susan Sarandon, Katherine Heigl, Robin Williams and Amanda Seyfried.
