1 Rock ’n’ Roll

A Rock ’n’ Roll night will be held at the this weekend as a fundraising event for the Make a Wish Foundation. It will be held at the World Kitchen function room on Cobblestone Drive, Bunbury, onSaturday from 6.30pm. Perth band Midnight Velvet will play at the event. Tickets are $40 per head. 2 Telethon

A sausage sizzle to raise funds for Telethon will be held this weekend. The food fundraiser will be held at Fullers Furniture on 95 Forrest Avenue from noon to 2pm on Saturday. Spirit Radio will also do a live broadcast. For more information contact 9721 4316.

3 Dolphin

As part of the Dolphin City Festival — Bunbury, the Dolphin Discovery Centre will hold an open day on Saturday from 9am to 3pm. Entry is free. There will be a bouncy castle, face painting, art corner and sand castle competition among other activities. Adults need not feel left out, as there will also be giveaways and eco cruises for $20 per person. Bookings are required for the cruises, and can be made on 9791 3088. The cruises will leave every hour between 10am and 2pm.

4 Race meet

The South Western Times/Spirit 621 Southwest Race Day, the first of a 20-race-meet season, will be held at the Bunbury Turf Club this Sunday. Gates open at 11am with race one set to jump at 12.54pm — last race will be around 5.30pm. There will be tote facilities, plenty of takeaway food and the Legends Bar and Bistro will be open. 5 Eurobeat

Eurobeat, Almost Eurovision is a light-hearted homage to the Eurovision Song Contest presented by the Bunbury Musical Comedy Group at the New Lyric Theatre from Friday. The interactive show includes many of the entertaining aspects of Eurovision, from the outrageous costumes to choreographed musical numbers. Eurobeat has been staged around the world over the past decade by various theatre companies, to rave reviews. 6 Monster

Bunbury Cathedral Grammar School will hold a Monster Craft Fair and Open Day on Sunday from 10am to 3pm. People are invited to go along and enjoy tasty treats, browse and buy from the 60 stalls selling handmade arts and crafts. Children can have a go on the free bouncy castle or get creative in the Kids Corner. There will also be tours of the school at 10am, 11.30am and 1pm. For more information contact 9722 6005.

7 Seniors expo

The South West Seniors and Community Expo will provide people with the opportunity to see services, products, equipment, outdoor displays and facilities available to seniors. The expo will be held at the South West Sports Centre, Hay Park, Bunbury on Sunday from 9am to 4pm. For more information contact 9795 7354.

8 Medium

Ghost whisperer Anthony Grzelka will be in Bunbury for a seminar, providing people with the opportunity to contact loved ones who have died. The seminar will go for about 2½ hours without an interval, and there will be a question and answer session at the end. People are encouraged to bring a photo of the loved one they hope to contact. 9 Historical

10 Wedding

An all-star cast including Robert DeNiro, Diane Keaton, Robin Williams and Susan Sarandon come together in comedy movie The Big Wedding. In the film, Don Griffin (De Niro) and Ellie Griffin (Keaton) have been divorced for a while, but pretend to still be married when their family comes together for a wedding.
