1 Shiver

A tale of love and grief unfolds when four strangers are lost together in a dark place with no exit. To move on, they must reconcile their past, but not without dancing the tango. 2 Sight

Enjoy an evening of food, drink and magic all in support of the WA Kimberley Diabetic Eye Care program. Held the day after World Sight Day, the event aims to bring awareness and funds to the causes of lost eyesight. The event will be held at the Sanctuary Golf Resort, Old Coast Road on Friday from 7pm. Perth magician Rob Townsend will delight and amaze the audience with his magical feats. The evening will also include raffle prizes and a silent auction. 3 Festival

The Bull and Barrel Festival will be celebrating its 10th birthday and the Year of the Farmer on Saturday. There will be animal displays, Ferguson Valley beer and wine, quilt displays, cooking demonstrations, free kids monster activity tent, stalls, art, circus performers, magicians, noon street parade, music and festival finale fire sculpture. Held at the Dardanup townsite, there is free entry for the event, which will be held from 10am to 5pm for the festival and 5pm to 9pm for evening entertainment.

4 Burnout time

Go and check out the smell of burning tyres at the Burnout Competition that will be held at the Bunbury Speedway on Saturday. It is a high energy event and short event, with a one shot qualifier and a top ten shoot out,itlooks to be an entertaining night. It costs adults $25 for entry, $10 for 10-15 year-olds, $50 for a family and a gold coin donation to Camp Quality for children under 10. Gates open at 4pm, for a 5.30pm start. 5 Skate tips

Kids can get to know some skate, scooter and BMX tricks and tips when Freestyle Now come to Australind Skate Park tomorrow. There will be two sessions, which promise to be fun, informative and motivational. The Freestyle Now squad members let the kids ride at their own level and encourage progression. The sessions will run from 10am to noon and 1pm to 3pm and are free to attend.

6 Iluka Visions

The talent of art students from 17 schools in the South West will be put on display at the Iluka Visions exhibition. The exhibition is being held at the Bunbury Regional Art Galleries in the Chapel and Lower Galleries. The event opened on Saturday, with an awards night on October 27 at 7pm, and will conclude on November 25. There are about 150 pieces from different mediums. The galleries are open every day from 10am to 4pm.

7 Exhibition

The Inspirations of Nature is an art exhibition made up of six upcoming artists who live with a disability, who have been mentored by members of Art Partners. The exhibition is being held as part of Mental Health Week tomorrow at Paisley Square, from 9.30am to 1pm. The viewer’s choice award will be announced at the event.

8 Intriguing tale

Set in New Orleans, Killing Them Softly follows professional enforcer, Jackie Cogan (Brad Pitt), who investigates a heist that occurs during a high stakes, mob-protected, poker game. The movie is based on the novel by George v Higgins, is has been named as part of the official selection for the 2012 Cannes Film Festival.

9 Lawless

Lawless is based on the true story of the Bondurant brothers who made ran a bootleg alcohol business in Prohibition-era Virginia. The three brothers, played by Shia LaBeouf, Tom Hardy and Jason Clarke, have to deal with the local competition and a dirty special agent who wants a cut of the profits. 10 Circus

The circus magic continues this week, with Circus Royale carrying on with its varied performance. From motorbikes to man’s best friend, Circus Royale has something for everyone. The circus will run until October 14, with two shows every day at the Bunbury Trotting Club. Children’s tickets start at $15 and adults start at $25.
