South Australian country crooner Brian Letton plays a one off show at the Soccerdrome on Parade Road this Sunday. 3. Emperors

Perth indie rockers Emperors invade the Prince of Wales Hotel for a free show tonight. The band has received extensive play time on national radio station Triple J with Be Ready When I Say Go, the standout single on 2012 debut album Stay Frosty. Support act Super Best Friends kick off the night’s entertainment at 9pm.

4. Movie Night

As part of its 10th birthday celebrations the Chefs’ Long Table Lunch is thanking the South West for its ongoing support with a free movie night on Friday. Hotel Transylvania will screen at 7.30pm at the giant Chefs’ Long Table Lunch Marquee on the Pat Usher Foreshore opposite BREC. 5. Speedway

Petrol heads can head down to the Quit Collie Speedway track on Saturday night for a healthy dose of adrenaline pumping action. Engines start revving at 6pm. Tickets cost $20 for adults. Admission for pensioners and children is $10 while a family pass costs $40.

6. Farmers Market

Pick up some of the freshest and most delicious produce the South West has to offer at the Boyanup and Districts Farmers Market at Memorial Park on Saturday. Running from 8am to 12pm, this monthly event is always abuzz with local farmers and producers peddling their wares amid a bustling family friendly atmosphere. Seafood, beef, fresh fruit and vegetables and a range of jams and preserves are just a few of the things on offer.

7. Heritage Centre

The monthly South Rail and Heritage Centre open day falls on Saturday and provides an opportunity to check out historical locomotives from the steam and early diesel eras. Also on display is agricultural machinery, railway implements and old stationary engines. Entry is by gold coin donation. A lunch van and barbecue are on hand to provide food and drinks.

8. Dalyellup Dockers

Registrations for Dalyellup Dockers Football Club are now open and can be made in person at the Dalyellup Sports Pavilion on Saturday between 9am and 10.30am. When an injury forces professional soccer player George (Gerard Butler) off the field for good, his life begins to unravel around him. Things become complicated when George starts meeting the parents of the kids in his soccer team, all of whom seem to have their own troubling agendas.
