The WA Eisteddfod is in full swing, and the Hope Warriors are hoping you can join their magical night for a good cause. Plus more.

1. Hope Warriors ball

Join Hope Warriors for a magical night of fairytales and fantasies at their third annual charity ball at Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre on Saturday night. Raising money to help children and their families with rare diseases, Hope Warriors Fantasy and Fairytale Ball is set to transport you into an enchanting realm of make-believe and magic. Step into a beautiful world featuring all your favourite childhood stories and prepare to be mesmerised. Featuring DJ Crackers and plenty of entertainment throughout the night, with auctions, raffles, games and much more, this is a night not to be missed. 2. Top artists selected

A major showcase of artwork will open at Bunbury Regional Art Galleries on Saturday. The Bunbury Biennale only runs every two years and includes the work of about 30 artists from the South West and across WA. Artists involved have been selected from a pool of 100 entrants and will provide examples of contemporary Western Australian art at its finest. The biennale runs until August 2.

3. Eisteddfod acts hit stage

Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre is a hive of activity with the 57th season of the WA Performing Arts Eisteddfod underway. The eisteddfod runs until June 20 before officially wrapping up with a gala concert on June 27. Thousands of performances will take place and last year's eisteddfod had pieces for about 12 hours a day and six days per week. 4. Round 9 football action

The half-way mark of the South West Football League season will see Carey Park start Round 9 with a match against the Harvey Bulls at 2.30pm on Saturday. Attention then turns to Brunswick Oval as Harvey-Brunswick-Leschenault does battle with Eaton Boomers at 6.10pm. On Sunday, Bunbury hosts Collie Eagles, Augusta-Margaret River are at home to South Bunbury and Busselton travel to Donnybrook with all matches starting at 2.30pm.

5. Glenn Miller Orchestra

The Glenn Miller Orchestra returns to Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre by popular demand tomorrow for a concert spectacular to honour the Anzac Centenary. Featuring the United States' finest musicians together with the Moonlight Serenade Singers and The Broadway Swing Dancers, the concert will pay tribute to the spirit of Anzac, including a special feature of music and songs from the years World War I. 6. Lights-Camera-Action quiz

The South West Warriors Women's League Tag side will host a quiz night on Saturday. The Lights-Camera-Action quiz will be held at the Highway Hotel in Bunbury from 6pm. It will include prizes for the best-dressed table of movie characters, games such as heads and tails and guess the winner, spot and door prizes, and prizes for first, second and third-placed tables from 10 rounds of quiz questions. 7. Tired Lion for Bunbury

Perth band Tired Lion are heading to Bunbury for a gig at the Prince of Wales Hotel on Friday night. The four-piece indie rockers are touring the nation promoting their single _I Don't Think You Like Me _ahead of their second EP _Figurine _ being launched next month. The band has gained a strong following after receiving plenty of Triple J airtime and even appearing on the station's famous Like a Version segment.

8. Hot Pursuit

Reese Witherspoon and Sofia Vergara star in the latest film to open at Grand Cinemas Bunbury. Hot Pursuit tells of a straight-down-the-line policewoman and the widow of a drug boss who try to evade dodgy police officers and vicious assassins as they travel through Texas. The action-comedy film is rated M and opens on Thursday.

9. Hockey stadium action

Boyanup will play men's and women's matches at Bunbury Hockey Stadium on Friday night. The women meet Collie at 6.35pm before the men clash with Marist at 8.05pm. On Sunday, Exies will play Towns-South in a women's match at 3.15pm and men's match at 4.45pm. Sunday's other matches are in Busselton as Robins women play Marist at 12pm and Wests men meet Associates at 1.30pm.

10. Harvey Poultry Show

Head to Harvey on Sunday for the annual young bird show. Harvey Poultry Club is hosting the event which is expected to have great numbers of birds for judging. Spectators are welcome to attend the event at Harvey Recreation and Cultural Centre on Tom Latch Drive. For more information contact 9729 1791.
